What To Expect from Your Design Consultation with Shamrock Hill Design
A Design Consultation with Shamrock Hill Design is completely custom! We tailor our services to fit our client’s needs. Everyone has different tastes, different styles, different everything!! So what makes you unique is exactly what we’re going to figure out and we’re going to make your house a place that you can call home.
1) Pinterest Board
First off, we make sure that the design consultation is a lot of fun! We start by putting a Pinterest board together, exclusively for you and your home. We will send you a link to be a collaborator on the board. Before the in-home consultation we would love for you to pin anything that you love. Anything that speaks to you.
2) In-Home Consultation
Then we have the in-home consultation. It can take anywhere from 45-90 minutes. During the consultation we will go over everything on your Pinterest board so we can get a clear idea of exactly what you like, your style, your wants, needs, all of it! We also of course take a tour of the space or spaces you’d like to transform. We’ll take pictures, notes and several measurements.
3) Design Board & Sourcing Products/Materials
After the consultation, we go back to our office and get to work on creating your design board and making your design dreams come to life! About 7-10 days after the in-home consultation, we will send you the design board and a document full of shopping links. You can go over everything and then email us, call, text, FaceTime (whatever you prefer) to ask any questions and talk about next steps. There’s usually a lot of questions at this point, so it’s important for you to know that we are here and available to answer them and walk you through everything!!
4) Next Steps
From there, the DIYers are off and ready to complete their project on their own. For those of you that are not DIY, we can move forward with the next steps. That looks different for every project, but it may be that we bring in contractors for any sort of renovations, painters, flooring or lighting installations, etc. Or we just move straight on to ordering furniture and accessories. If you’re interested in any sort of construction/demo/renovations, I have skilled vendors for anything you could want done!
It’s very exciting to put all the pieces together and watch the transformation take place! We love helping our clients through this process. We offer other services that we can discuss during the consultation or after you’ve received your design board. Think personal shopping, project managing, mini or full day makeovers.
